Partner and I set up the tent at about 7000' elevation outside Rifle Colorado. Late combined deer/elk season early November.
Lit the campfire and made us some cowboy coffee about dark. Poured the coffee into my favorite plastic travel mug and set it down on the top of the ice chest to breathe a little :D. While I wasn't watching the hot coffee cracked the cold plastic right at the bottom of the cup and made a run for it. I go to pick up the cup and it's stuck to the ice chest :wtf:. Upon further inspection the coffee had frozen around the base of the cup. The coffee that did escape froze in a little coffee fall on the side of the ice chest before it reached the ground . Everything we didn't want to freeze went into the ice chest right then .
