Well, that's a wrap. After Stinger replied to my Google review with no response to my emails, I sent yet another email, but this time, I had found a defect. When I installed the hood to test fit, I had noticed the driver side corner near the firewall had been repaired, but whoever repaired it didn't get the contour correct. I'm still waiting for low tension springs, so I had a towel temporarily placed under the hood in order to set it at its correct position. You can see the corner here with the unmatched contour and inconsistent thickness. This is their response:
"The owner has reviewed your pictures. There are many things that will change the fit of your hood. Just setting it in the hole will not give you a true and exact fit. Hood alignment bumpers/blocks, springs, hinges will allow you to make the proper adjustments needed. This is a aftermarket hood going on a 48-52 year old car. Adjustments are always needed and expected."

I requested to return the hood, and their reply was that I could return the hood, but I would pay shipping, and if they found no defects, I would not receive credit for the hood. They also stated if the hood sustained damage through shipping, I would not receive credit for the hood. I wasn't satisfied with that offer, so I offered a compromise of keeping the hood and having Stinger pay for the repairs and correction. They refused and stated they have been more than accommodating considering my nasty thread on FABO. Obviously, they are bitter and holding a grudge, and letting that get in the way of good customer service.
