I have used the short, coarse fluted type shown on the left on alum & never really liked it. I always use the fine flute burrs now.


Yeah, the style of burr on the left are harder to control and tend leave troughs and you have to be very careful when you get into a tight radius or it will start to chatter horribly.

The high helix Killer Carbides do not do that. Very smooth. Very fast material removal and they are very friendly when working in a radius.
