Required reading before buying a cam should be Isky's Tech Tip: is extra exh duration really necessary???
Isky claims it is mostly 'habit' & I think he is 10000% right...
Habit because many factory cams were dual pattern. But why were they dual pattern? Probably because the cars came with restrictive 2" exh systems, restrictive mufflers & log type exh manifolds.....& the engineers thought the exh needed some help.
Add a 2.5+" dual exh, headers & free flowing mufflers & you have now un-corked your exh system.
