Look at the shape of the bottom of the cover. Also notice the filler plug in the cover. I know the cover isn't the be all end all, but it doesn't look like the 8 1/4 I put in.

See pics below of covers. Noticable ridge around filler hole thats missing on 8 1/4 cover. Plus, cover on 8 1/4 is rounder, 7 1/4 is squared off.

Damm!! I'm getting good at this cut and paste thing!!
