Get some 3/4 fine thread all-thread, a matching nut and a couple big flat washers, a grease everything up. Thread the all-thread all the way into the crank, push the damper on with nut. MUCH better than using a couple threads of the damper bolt (a good way to strip the crank threads).
Yeah, thats what the Lisle screw does. It can fully thread into the crank threads and you use a nut on it to crank the damper onto the snout. After your done, unscrew the Lisle threads and thread your bolt in and torque it down.
