Stop in for a cup of coffee

everyone else is watching the superbowl or whatever is going on, Im quarantining in the garage(damn covid) getting my car going again. I put on the 4 barrel manifold the first time, it leaked at the back corner. not enough silicone. So this time I used metal gaskets (the only ones they had) and cork china wall gaskets. No leaks, not even water. it fired up buuuuuuuuuuuuuutttttt...... it didn't run good. not at all. and it didn't want to idle. I knew it. the whole passenger side is one huge vacuum leak. it didn't even register on the vacuum gauge. so third time better be the charm. I had to order them on amazon of all things.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Can't like that. But glad your getting something accomplished - even if its learning the hard way.

My memory from using the usual fel-pro set is to get the cork end gaskets hooked into the little fingers.
Just a bead in each corners where the cork doesn't go.
The standard gaskets have rings seals around each port. Hold them in place with plastic buttons that help line them up.

The most difficult part is getting all of the bolts started and going around working them down. Try to do the tightening following the sequence in the shop manual. It should help get them snugged up evenly. Dual planes are a PIA. Sometimes just have to use a box wrench 1/4 turn at a time. Have fun. LOL. Never mind. Just make a zen thing. Left foot right foot and eventually you get there.
