The price of racing.

We pay a $25.00 pit pass at the weekly tracks... cars are free.

Purse is $1250 to win $150 to start. Early season we get 20-24 cars. Late in the year car counts fade to 14-16. One lap in practice gets you the $150 minimum.

Tires are $155 this year...gotta run the same on all four corners. Shocks are crazy...$4000 to $7000 for a six shock setup (tacky medium, slick) plus one shock on the lift arm and another left rear in front of the quick change for traction (basically a 95/5 valving). But not everyone can afford that so a lot of guys buy used hi $$$ shocks or obsolete twin tubes.
