What is the most POWERFUL engine you have ever been behind?
70,000 SHP....USS Tarawa with twin boilers (largest in the Navy at the time) although I was mostly in front of them, and on top of them....
This one had 4 gas turbines and gulped 1000 gallons of fuel an hour. 16,000HP. Crazy ride at over 40 knots. We just stayed in the truck.
