Bad beer thread

What abunch of lightweights! :poke:
Octoberfest and Oatmeal Stout

Home brewed.

This thread is about bad beer. That stuff looks really good.
I progressed through beer tastes like this:
Teens - Early 20's = Bud Light / Coors Light
Mid 20's - Early 30's = Hefewiesen
Early - Mid 30's = IPA
Mid - Late 30's = Hazy's and Stouts
Early 40's = Liver Disease (not kidding)

I used to go on vacations to beer destinations. Did the Oregon I-5 Brewery Tour, Portland area breweries, San Diego brewery tours, .... Drank some of the world's finest.

The worst beers I have had you have probably never heard of. Tusker is Africa's only brewery (or was at that point). Had that smuggled into Iraq by some British SAS bubbas. It had to have gotten blazing hot before it got to us.
Next was some Chinese stuff that I can't even find on Google. A co-worker's Father-in-Law buys shipping containers that go unclaimed or damaged or something like that. At least that's how the story I was told goes. He showed up to work with a pick-up bed full of this stuff and gave it away.

Anyway, got my diagnosis November of 2019 and haven't had a drop of liquor since. Quit cold turkey and didn't phase me. When your health is on the line it doesn't matter. My brother offed himself in November 2020 and he was an alcoholic (2x IED finder / 2x Purple Heart / 2x TBI / 100% DAV).
I was to the point of coming home from assignments and being in a stooper for my entire R&R and drinking till I fell asleep on the couch every night after work for a couple years. PTSD's a *****.

Wish it happened sooner actually. Had to quit dipping snuff too. As long as I am not putting a strain on my liver I am perfectly fine so I have been forced on a super clean diet and I feel better than ever. But, beer sure did taste good. It is, after all, proof that God loves us.
