67 Dart Day / Night Mirror Demystified

Once it is all apart you can see that the housing could be saved by a talented trim repair person (of which I am not)PXL_20220308_234101328.jpg PXL_20220308_234111491.jpg PXL_20220308_234117298.jpg

I'm my view it would be posable to replace the glass BUT...

I would break the glass on a good housing and cut the side off of a bad housing to save a good mirror or have a new tapered mirror made. OR If you have a mirror that is missing silver but is not chipped it can be re-silvered.

Bottom line is you can not just remove the mirror.

To reassemble you will need to flatten the crimp enough to get the new or replacement mirror into the frame then re-crimp the glass in.

Good luck on your restoration
