This was a real trial and error effort and it took 3 tries to get it right. Some of the keys to success were to make the arms on the shaft all the same height and all the same distance between the center of the shaft hole and the center of the top hole be the same spacing as the distance between the shaft and linkage knob on the carb. If you then locate the linkage shaft in line with the shaft on the back carb, it all works easily and it happens that the kickdown linkage location is perfect behind the front carb.
