Stop in for a cup of coffee

Day two of Basic training started at 0430, everyone up with a banging of a trash can and stick, slam everything we had just been issued, and unpacked the night before into our two duffle bags. Forced duffle bag March 4 miles to the rappelling tower. Everyone climb the stairs, open your duffles and dump the contents. Now you have 15 minutes to find just your stuff out of a stack of crap.
Was a giant test to see who labelled their stuff correctly. They went around and did an inventory
Oh better someone punched someone else Drill made us carry all 50 bunks and wall lockers with gear down four flights of stairs.
He had us set them up in identical rows as they were in the barracks.
As we finish another Drill walk up "WTF is this **** doing on my drill floor"? Get it upstairs where it belongs inspection in an hour.
Yes that day we exceeded the basics in teamwork. An experience I've never forgotten.
