Disconnect your battery.
There is a round chrome bezel on the front of the dash around the switch. It needs to come off.

They make a tool for this, but I just use a needle nose pliers- open the pliers, insert the tips into 2 opposite notches, and turn it counter-clockwise.
Reach behind the dash and remove the switch. It will have a plug with wires attached to the back of it.

Unplug the switch. It just pulls straight off.
Plug the new switch in, it only goes on one way.
Reinstall the switch, reverse order of above.
Reconnect your battery.
