Stop in for a cup of coffee

So question for the masters,

if I were to order a second gallon of color just to be safe, would it be a good idea to blend the two gallons so the color is beyond a doubt consistent? So when mixing, the instructions call for 4:1 ratio color to reducer, so I’d take half of the 4 parts from one gallon, the other half from the other gallon?
