904 has no first gear?

While the manual tells me what to test and what to do if one of the tests fails, which I can appreciate, I needed TrailBeast's link to help me understand how it actually works. I need that knowledge to better troubleshoot. So far I THINK I have the info I need. Once I verify that, I will share here.
