intake gasket is sweating coolant?

Ran after work and got the edelbrock gaskets. Got the intake off and almost the whole gasket is damp. I looked and the impression from the intake appears to be uniform and you can see the whole intake flange made a uniform indentation in the gasket

what caused this? I dont believe the valve covers are leaking, the edge of them was dry and no oil on the intake
