First launch in new big block cuda - video

The weather finally came around, and gave us a few hours to run the car before rain showed back up. Was able to run the car three times. First two were shake down runs that I shut it down half track. The entire car is new and I had no idea what gremlins lie in waiting. The only video the kid was able to get was of the second pass.

Running a two-step off of a line lock. Only launched at 1800rpms instead of the 3500 it is built for. We'll be goin back this Wednesday to play with it more. But it's obvious the Mopar drag shocks are getting way over powered. All week I've been in discussion with the guys at PST for some double or triple adjustable shocks.

Anyway, third run was 10.99 as I short shifted the first two and hit the rev limiter in third before the end of the track.

the car will likely run pretty much identically where ever you launch it from, be it 1800 off the foot or more rpm elsewhere. You have what sounds like a 10 inch vert
not so sure with that compared to an 8 inch
Launching at a higher rpm( especially with leafs) generally isn’t gonna make the car any faster( if as fast) as it “ tenses up) the suspension and gives it less room to work.with or without a brake.
I had a 9 sec 3350 pound car on 002/003 leafs that went 1.34 60 foot at 2k foot breaking or 3500-4200 rpm off the chip and T brake. 28 by 10 tire. Same ET either way.
Usually leaving at a lower rpm will slap the vert harder and plant the tire better. That all said, every combo is different.
Plenty of guys on here who can help, great place for that
