Yes it does and I am a fan of tighter lsa's but it only goes so far if the gear ratio is not a good match kind of more of a fine tune in my opinion.

And the 18lb flywheel I have vs. a 30lb one is also a contributor to the low speed surge, but I can assure you it is fun when you get on it!
