Red Headed Stepchild-75 Swinger LSX Swap
Well I took her out for a drove the other night and the alternator died leaving me stranded.
Trailered her back. Pulled the alternator and went and got it tested to make sure and then purchased a new one today.
While doing that I had a leak at the timing cover seal during the dyno. No big deal easy swap I thought. If you remember back
when i got the motor it was a complete long kick minus intake and oil pan.
Well that lead into my discovery of today. While assembling it, they didn't pay specific attention to the crankshaft dowel when installing the pulley. It shifted to the rear and vertical rather tha. Staying flat like it should have. In doing so it cut its own groove into the ati balancer while they were torqueing it down. So I had to clean it up and repair before reinstalling after putting the new seal in and pulley. New alternator is in and the new 02 sensor that **** the bed is on the way as well. Should be here tomorrow. New oem GM crank sensor is installed as well since I was having the weird signal sync error on the dyno as long ad everytbig shows up on time I'll be testing Saturday.
Also got some 4 inch stress balls to fill in the belcoity stacks for when I start hitting car shows. Don't need any little kids dropping things in there.
