Is anyone else "touchy" about their Mopar? (long rant...)

20 years or so ago, I took my ratty '65 Dart to a Slant Six Club of America car show in Kenmore Wa.. Jack Pohler, his son and some buddies showed up. I won the best "1965 Dart that actually showed up" award or something like that. Later Jack came up to me and advised that Slant Six Club members liked to keep there cars looking sharp, i.e. I should paint my car. My car is still primer red. I need to re shoot it because rust i finally showing thru. I guess I could call that patina now.

Over the years, people have came up to me and asked when I will paint the car. I usually say, "when somebody pays for it".
