What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?
I fixed a "rookie" screw up.
I recently bought some lighter distributor advance springs. Instead of pulling the distributor I took it apart while installed. Everything went well until I dropped a screw for the plate. Looked everywhere...then I dropped the other one :BangHead:. So I run the hardware store and picked up two 10-32 screws, put them in buttoned everything up,
Turn the key, Cranks and cranks...no start. Hmmm...check over everything and it looks good. Try again...no start.
Pull the distributor and found the shatf tang in the intermediate shaft :BangHead::BangHead:.
Found the crews I put in the plate were too long and wouldn't let the shaft spin!
So, my RockAuto shaft arrived yesterday. Today I took the shaft from the new one and used it along with everything else from the old distributor. Runs great now!!!
