69 barracuda rear seat-trunk finish and tail panel
I have a 69 barracuda I'm doing a street/strip set-up but want to keep it original modded looking. It is a y3 yellow 318 4spd with the deluxe black interior. I'm putting off set springs in to fit some 275/60/15s on my dana 60 that's going behind a 408 (possibly with NO2) so the drivetrain isn't really stock but wanting to keep the look stockish. Going with Mopar Blue streak(very similar to B7 blue) with engine bay, hood and inside trunk semi gloss black (debating a hemi style hood scoop). Was going to do my tail pail just polished since 99% of paint is gone from it already but after seeing a few painted up original I'm kinda liking it better. What are people using for the red paint? and the center is argent silver correct (except formula S which was black)? With the letters painted black? Where can I get the hardware for mounting? about 80% of mine broke on removal and the other 20% I don't trust to tighten down. Nowhere local has anything close. Any pics would be welcome for stock or custom. Upgraded front seats to modern darts also and will be installing a 8-point roll bar at some point but want to make the area between the rear seat and the trunk look good. Judging by what's left the sides and floor were black carpet and the drop down divider was a piece of painted black plywood with metal end caps? Was there any trim between floor and sides? was the divider carpeted also? Where is a good place to get the carpet? I wouldn't be against painting but there is a good sized gap between the side pieces and the floor. Again pics of what others have done is appreciated. Mine appears to have had the factory defrost as the 6x9 speaker looking hole is there and I was able to get a unit to put in it that still works. did it have conduit going from the motor to the long skinny hole in the section just below the winder with a vent similar to the front defrost?
