Well that turned into a very long break. I will save you all the soap opera details.
I did get some valuable information.

In the Ford world Marti Auto works is the go to place for correct hoses, ignition wires and other goodies (also the home of the Marti report). Kevin is a friend so I asked for his assistance. The news is not good.

With the advent of ethanol in fuel there have been a lot of car fires related to failure of rubber hoses that were not ethanol safe. More fires means more lawsuits. I think you know where this is heading. The two large US based manufacturers are not interested in selling ANY sort of fuel hose, even to the degree they are discontinuing a lot of current very well proven items that are mostly installed by hobbyists.

So the answer has to come from overseas. I have a couple of good possibilities but if Gate and Goodyear are afraid maybe I should be as well.
