July 15, 1914 – Dodge Brothers make their last Ford part

Dodge Brothers' machine shop was a major component supplier for Oldsmobile and Ford, including transmissions for Oldsmobile, and engines, transmissions and axles for Ford. They made enough money at it to start their own company. Not long after, they were the third largest auto manufacturer in the US.
