Used gas pipe a bender and an old stick welder. It is the frame of the buggy. Needs netting if you are wanting to roll it. Cool toy. One tip if your going to make one, engine transaxle mounted SOLID. They are know to break the nose cone on trany where the shift rod goes in. Experience talking

I think we used to do the solid mounts on the engine end but used VW's finest on the shifter end
There was also a strap over the top of the transaxle at the shift shaft end The most fragile and susceptible to chassis flex part of the transaxle was the shifter cone, so we left the rubber cushion at that point.
