Stop in for a cup of coffee

I worked as a mechanic at a local towing company when I was in college... One day I had to change the clutch in a Mercury Bobcat with a 4 cylinder engine... I had the trans out and the new clutch in and needed to put the trans back up...

The bosses' brother told me to borrow the trans jack from the shop next door as ours was broken...

I didn't feel like walking there and dragging it back... (It was farther than just next to us - in the same strip of shops)

So I had the other mechanic my age (Gary) hand me the trans while I layed on the creeper... I then scooted under the car and bench pressed the trans up and got it in place and finished bolting it back in...

A little while later, the bosses' brother came in and saw the trans back in and asked how it got in there... Gary said, "Karl did it".... (not taking credit for my work...)

Then the bosses' brother said, "Karl, you just fucked up... You are now the official trans guy".... :BangHead:
Last trans I did like that was an American Motors small block standard 3 speed, a hatch back car. Can't remember the friggin name at the moment, not a Gremlin, not a javelin..**** :BangHead: my memory is going, going, gone :p
