Reviewing my choices of what was on hand for the job, decided on Hammerite applied with a brush.
Some of the brush marks will soften as it cures, but at least its well protected.
Made a bunch of measurements and drew them out yesterday. Today came up with a better way to check the alignment.
That's what I thought, dipstick is hitting the baffle.
