1966 Factory V8 Valiant Signet Restoration For My Other Daughter
Complex story. Started out with 9.6:1 but the pistons had a surprise shelf for quench on stock heads. I needed the heads with the relief but the heads I got where some of the last on the planet and did not have the relief so we decided to just put a thicker Chomeric gasket on and be done. It’s a cruiser. It is just under 9:1 now but with a nice 0.38” quench so it should not ping. The cam is a custom torque cam from Oregon cams that dies out around 5k, just like the performer intake.
