OK kids... thanks for the help and guidance. Also a.shout out to @65barracudaLA who had a picture of the spring attachment from his disassembly...

She is buttoned up, cable adjusted and getting ready to come down off the jack stands. I don't believe this is all that's needed to get it right but it was a big step.
