Does it matter ? It's broken , but again with guys not answering questions it's really insane people . It doesn't matter where that wasn't my question . Everyone here does this to everything I ask. No one just answers the question asked. People just tell why I shouldn't do this or do that or why don't I just get a v8 or why I need The answer I'm asking . I don't have one , can't find any carbs like this on eBay , I found one guy selling rebuilt one on eBay and it came junk . So again . How do I get one of these ? Has anyone made one before ?
Professor Fate is right. You can fabricate one yourself if you are having a hard time buying one. You'll need approx. the same size machine screw/bolt [fully threaded] as seen in Professor Fate's second pic, 2 nuts, a wingnut and washer, and a length of wire (12-14 gauge spring steel, not cold) you will have to cut to size. Use a bench vice and hammer to bend the wire to replicate Professor's second pic. You'll need a Dremel tool or drill to cut wire. Drill a hole the same diameter of wire right below the nut head. Draw the wire through the hole giving yourself more length then you'll need. You will cut to size and bend/shape the ends after you slide the wire through the bolt. Center the wire EQUALLY and cut and bend both ends alike to fit the carb's body. You may have to cut and bend the ends several times before attempting to attain the acceptable height. If the wire is too loose or floppy through the mounting bracket bolt hole, you can secure the wire with an extra nut by turning it as far down as it can go, making snug contact with the wire.
OK Johnny, you can do it. Good luck.
ps. wear eye protection.
