Three things the internal combustion engine needs to run:
Compression
Fuel
Spark
Compression - is probably okay if you didn't hear a bunch of noise before it quit.
Fuel - like
@tonysrt said, see if you got fuel pumping into the carb. Easy test.
Spark - more than likely the culprit. What ignition system do you have?
