Engine dies when hot, in gear

Been busy with other things but thought I’d follow up on this with what I’ve done in case anyone else looks in the future…hopefully I’ll find a solution before to long. We made the 2 .5 hour road trip to Mopar Nats last month and it runs fine as long as your driving so I don’t feel like it’s a supply issue. It would still shut off when pulling up to a stop and not shifting to neutral or revving the engine while stopped.

Before going, I slipped a rubber hose over the the fuel line on the fender to try to block some heat from the headers and wrapped the hose to the pump with fire sleeve. I installed a new vapor bypass fuel filter and a fuel pressure regulator set to 4.5 psi or so and Installed a heat spacer under the carb. Nothing seemed to make any real changes.

Interestingly enough, the temps were in the 70s on the ride home and it ran fine the entire time. Took it out a few days later when it was warmer again and it still acts up.

I’ll probably bite the bullet and try a Holley at some point but unfortunately it’s not really a priority at the moment since our annual trip is over for now…I’ll update if/when I figure it out. Thanks again for all the advice
