X-heads / 6 Barrel combo porting

My son just learned to drive a manual trans 4 spd in a ‘91 W-150. The first cam wiped a lobe and lifter. I figured a nice wide angle would be hood for him to get started on. He has is not the most dexterity or quickness in learning on the fly.

The only cam I had available in my stable was a thumper on a 107. He stalled in only a few times and he’s on his way! I just told him to rev it up to about 1200 and slowly release the clutch pedal until it catches on, etc…

Bottom line, He’s doing good with it.
