I was workin on the 210 freeway and livin' in Van Nuys during the week and going home to the desert on weekends. One of my desert buddies decides he wants to cruise a Wednesday night, "Come on down. You can spend the night and go back home in the morning." He brought his Duster nuthin real special other than he raced it on circle tracks in Florida in the Fan Participation races  . Teen with headers, Purple Shaft, and a Holley, 15x9s and L60s on the back. On the hood scoop he had put some HEMI emblems. Numerous times while we cruised that night "That thing really got a Hemi in it?" came from the car next to us at the stoplight or from the sidewalk. "Got 50 bucks? I'll let you find out!" was his response . The next time he came down to cruise he had the Hemi Challenger. :steering:

This was posted on lost muscle cars.

“I owned this AAR back in 1970. It was a great car. I ran NHRA super stock 11.65 on a 11.60 record at that time. Then I modified the car and went SCCA racing. I would love to find this car and share its history with the new owner. The vin ends in 6030.”
