There's no denying it opens the valves a little sooner, but you're not talking about a magical 50HP difference. Who's to say on some combos you might lose power? IMO it's a lot more important to get the geometry on what you HAVE correct first.
That’s just it. 1:6 HELPS the PUSHROD geometry. Especially if you go with a socket adjuster instead of the ball. The longer the push rod the better. Not to be confusing this with correcting the geometry of the rocker pivots. It also help longevity. But you are correct. I doubt if you would even feel the difference on the street.
