Building a Duster for the wife.
IDK if that was a mention to leave tips and comments on YouTube but I’ll say the Magnum engine is as you probably know 245hp as it sits so a mild cam will help a little there. If you can get dual exhaust up the manifolds, I personally would go with a 2-1/2 dual exhaust. That would be very good for that size engine and power level.
You didn’t mention the gear ratio I think but OD is great to have. I have a ‘00-5.9 topped with a Edelbrock 750 AFB, Air Gap & Hooker headers @ 1-3/4. This combo make a tic over 300hp. A 727/2500 stall and 3.55’s on 245/60/15’s back the rest of the car up.
The stock cam is still used and rolls over around that 4500 rpm area. It will still rev higher but the power is on the down slope noticeably.
I agree a small cam would be best. IDK where your looking to bump up the power rpm wise with a cam but I’d also keep it small around a tiny 210/212 duration @050.
Enjoy the Magnum!
