Stop in for a cup of coffee

An old desert friend of mine told me of a project he and his platoon carried out as part of an Army engineering bunch. Just before the US exodus from VN they spent a couple weeks pushing equipment that wasn't going to be shipped out into an old quarry with bull dozers. Jeeps, trucks, cars, equipment, you name it. Just before they shipped out a large quantity of explosives were used to collapse the quarry wall on to the disposed of equipment.
My grandfather was a POW at the army base I now report too. After the War and before returning back to Germany, he was part of a groups that offloaded captured German weaponry and pushed it into a big hole, where they filled full of concrete. Tanks, planes, V2s you name it.
