Here's the thing.......I purchased a box of engine bolts from a member that tore down a SB. All of the bolts were bagged and tagged. These oil pump bolts didn't have any washers. That's why I've been asking all the questions about washers. As you can see, your 5 oil pump case bolts don't have washers and neither to head or mains. I'll measure them today and shoot you a pic.

After reading the multiple responses from the other thread, it would appear as though any fastener tightened down to solid steel does not require an additional washer. It would also appear that any concerns regarding "locking" a fastener should be addressed with blue Loctite (consensus).
