I have spare head lights and tail lights with new lenses. Installed quartz bulbs when I converted it to 12v. I had enough of 6v positive ground and a shitty cut out for a regulator that cost me $150 twice for the armature in the generator. I know it’s not original but it works and it works good all I need now is the modern style starter drive for $50 and no more problems with the electrical. The 6v starter will handle 12 v all day long as 6v draws more amperage than 12v but the original starter drive will only take the hit from 12v for so long then it breaks the spring. Having quartz lights in it is a bonus also way and I mean WAY better than the stock bulbs. Have a conversion kit to put sealed beams in also but with the quartz bulbs I can run original glass in the headlights
Yea I might do the same if I drive it much but so far about 5 to 10 miles a year is all I'm doing.
