power brake booster system a-body

I was wondering if a combination of intake/exhaust overlap area and duration may have contributed to the issue. I'm kinda new at all of the terms associated with cam grind and performance but was thinking that lobe area overlap % and duration could have a significant effect on engine vacuum, especially at low rpm. I could be wrong though. Someone else with more experience than me may be able to say.
