1972 Dodge Demon 340 project with lots of parts
I am selling my 1972 F3 green Dodge Demon 340 project that I bought back in 2007 as a non roller......no engine, transmission or rear axle. Over the years I've been buying parts and I would work on it here and there. As I get older I don't like to mess with this stuff as much as I use too anymore and losing interest.
So over the years I came across an earlier 360 engine mated to a 4 speed and I got an 8-3/4 rear. I just put everything in the car just so I can roll it around for now. I never got the engine fired up, but always cranked it over just to keep it freed up. Part of the left rear quarter panel was replaced with another part from a donor car for whatever reason. Trunk floor is shot, tail panel needs replaced, right rear lower quarter is rusted out. Not sure about the rockers. The interior floor is really good overall except for one little rust hole on the drivers side. I replaced the right front fender, the left side looks decent.
Engine and transmission: early 360 with the cast iron 4 speed with blowproof bellhousing.
Rear axle: 8-3/4 with big bolt pattern Yukon axles and a rebuilt 3.91 sure grip with new Cragars and BFG tires. No brake hardware installed. I have a set of old CalTracs to go with it.
I have a set of used '73 front disc brake/A arm setup to replace the front drums
Doug's Headers with new (I think it's 2-1/2") dual exhaust kit and factory looking stainless tips
New color matched dash pad
New AMD tail panel and trunk extensions
Rocky Mountain aluminum gauge bezel with Autometer gauges
1972 style hood with holes for the factory dual snorkel hood scoop
The truck lid is either a late '71 or early '72. It has the rib in the middle and still has cutouts for a factory spoiler
I had put air shocks on ages ago and they don't hold air anymore
New gas tank
I might have more parts for it but can't remember everything I got for it and will list any items I find or forgotten about.
The engine and transmission are the only things not numbers matching to the car. I do have the fender tag and a build sheet plus a clean title.
The pictures below are of it when I first bought the car and some recent ones.
The car has allot of potential to be a sweet looking ride again.
I do have it listed on Facebook Marketplace as well
$5,000 cash preferably. I will entertain respectable offers as well.
