Stop in for a cup of coffee

I took a ride up to the local circle track yesterday afternoon after hearing that it had a substantial water retention issue.

The report I heard was that the water was right up to the bottom of the concrete outer wall.
One or more of the drains must have been partially functional, the only water I saw was in the infield itself.
However, the track ambulance and tow trucks 2 were parked in the infield.
If the water was up to the wall those vehicles were completely submerged at one point. :BangHead:
They did have 2 or 3 USAC Sprint Car events on the books to be announced later.

I think the owner's costs just went up.
You would think the vehicles would haave been moved from the lowest spot on the property beforehand :realcrazy::BangHead:
I would hope it was a maintenance problem for them, keeping drains clear and operational is a round the clock walk threw (inspection) .
We have two dirt tracks with in 25 miles of each other here, 8 miles from me is the closer one, and when they did a price hike a few years ago it was a battle of two tracks, both said if the people don't like the hikes in price, they said, and I QUOTE = there are more catfisherman around here then race car owners, if this causes a closure, we will plug up drainage and fill it to raise catfish!.
Those days was great, know my next generation is back after a two year vacation from it all.. this was at my sons shop three weeks ago,, the had that Monty stripped of the chassis in 3 days, my sons work very well together, another one of my blessings to see.

Wow, haven't heard that in years, thank you
