You are out in a rural area correct? I am surprised many of you use coal and fuel oil. We use mostly natural gas in town (with some all electric) and LP in the rural areas. Some of the farmers have outdoor wood burners that heat coolant and pump it into a heat exchanger in the house. You need to be ambitious to keep the fire stoked though. We don't have coal available here except for the powerplant in a neighboring town.
