Ok fellas...318 help needed , Mpg , reliability and enough power ***for a big boat !!!
Put an Edelbrock 1406 4 bbl on it and call it a day.
The 2 bbls were economy carbs and the 4 bbl gives the engine the fuel it needs to run
better/stronger, even the tone of the engine deepens up with the 4 bbl swap running on the stock cam.
Can even do it without switching the intake with the Mr. Gasket adapter, works surprisingly well.
Advance Auto Parts has them available too.
'69 Satellite stock 318, 727, 2.94 rear gears. Good performance and 20 miles per gallon as done above with the 4 bbl adapter/Edelbrock conversion.
