$4.14 a dozen here. I had heard regarding the bird flu epidemic, they can butcher the chickens and the meat is ok to sell but the eggs are not. Shortage of eggs, no shortage of butchered chickens.
Depends on the age of the chicken. There’s a federal law that limits the age for chickens for butcher to something ridiculously young. It’s like 18 months give or take if I recall right
