65 barracuda foam fraim rail/firewall inserts

Anybody remove or replace these?
If so what material did you make new ones out of?
Im painting the fraim rails, and im removing undercoating with a torch and dont want to light these on fire,would also like to paint behindthem.

Never put mine back in either. Just went through where you are currently at in November. Painted my barracuda on New Year’s Eve.
