I started at Ford motor Co. in 1970 . Had 2 of my friends enlist , Their parents were American . They were 18 and I was 16 . Glad I was to young to enlist . Two years later I started at Ford. Spent 36 years with Ford's , mostly owned Chrysler because my father was a Chrysler worker .

Yeah, I was only 17 years old in 1974, so I was too young. But I did have to register for the draft before they abolished it I think in 75 or '76. But my father served in Vietnam between 1968 and 1969 in Nha Trang as a radio operator on C-130 special aircraft for recovery of down pilots
