Neither one of those scenarios provides enough natural light to charge these glowing sights so when if I pull it out at night it will not glow

My mindset remains "what do you want to do?" For me with old eyes, fiber sites offer some increased clarity and ease of front site acquisition.. during the day. But if I want a night sight I'm using a no-kidding low visibility solution (laser, red dot, flashlight etc)
