power tour ???

I went in 2005 and would love to go again one day. What I remember about it was the huge crowds of people, especially in the smaller towns coming out to see the rolling car show. Never had any problems getting fuel or food along the way, but you will find it slow going when passing through the towns as most of them just don't have the infrastructure to handle the volume of traffic. That is a big part of the fun IMHO, as well as frequent burnouts and smokeshows.
I tried to get on the road early each day, that allowed for some side trips and sightseeing while still making the day's wrap-up event where the door prize draws by the event sponsors happen. I was fortunate enough that I won a new Tru-Trac differential for my Dart at one stop.
Book all of your hotels in advance if possible, and if you stay at the ones that are affiliated with the tour, you'll have a great time with all the other gearheads having a great time.
Are you planning to do the "long haul" or just a a few days?
